hi all i use paintshop pro x2 but find when i resize images ie for competitions the quality is effected due to reduced pixels. has anybody got advice about how to sharpen and clean up these images again?

If you use Paint Shop Pro then click 'Image' > 'Resize' and set Resampling using 'Smart Size', you only need Resolution set to 72 pixels/inch for monitor/internet use. Tick 'Lock Aspect ratio' and tick 'Resize All Layers'. Set the width in pixels and you should get a reasonable resized image.
When saving this image click 'File' > 'Save As'. Select jpg Click 'Options' then 'Optimizer' then set 'Compression Value' until you get the filesize and image quality you are happy with then click 'Save'
