cant wait till sept, been to this airshow for many years gutted after riat debacle this one is one my doorstep and the only thing that could stop it is very bad conditions on the day(this happened in 2006 but they let everyone in from sat on sun)southport has hard standing for thousands of cars so no prob with fields it has seen some great shows and always used to have a visit from 4s4(4 harriers from 4 squadron)accompanied by some great pyro and the lowest fastest loudest pass from a harrier ive ever seen(1 hovering slowly down the beach taking attention off the low level fast strafing run of the second)pure magic, shame they're probably operational all the time now and haven't been for a couple of years but still a great show and the vulcan is coming this year
