Just before Christmas, to celebrate a big birthday, my wife took me to Washington DC as a treat.
"Where would you like to be on your birthday" she said. "Only one place" says I. The National Air and Space Museum. I've always wanted to go there and to see the REAL artifacts from the space program was brilliant.
The weather for November was fantastic. Sunshine with cloudless blue skies and a temperature in the mid to high 60's.
Thanks Dave. The Air and Space Museum is a brilliant place to visit as there is so much there that we wouldn't normally see over here.
People also kept telling me to check out another Smithsonian aircraft museum close to Dullas airport www.nasm.si.edu/udvarhazy/ where they have a very impressive display including a Space Shuttle inside!! We didn't have time on our schedule for it but . . . . . . .
My wife loves squirrels so every time she spots one I get a kick on the skins until I photograph it ;D
